Classification of Nitrogen Cabinets

Types of Nitrogen Cabinets

Ordinary Nitrogen Cabinet: Comprised of a box body, sealed door, flow meter, adjustable active layer board, and castor supporting feet. Its sharp edges and bright appearance can be customized according to different customer requirements.

Energy-Saving Nitrogen Cabinet: The Energy-Saving Nitrogen gas Cabinet is based on the Ordinary Nitrogen Cabinet and is equipped with a nitrogen control module to better save nitrogen and provide a more intuitive understanding of the cabinet's internal environment. The automated design can greatly reduce operating costs. It can also be customized according to different customer requirements.

Stainless Steel Nitrogen Cabinet: The cabinet frame is made of stainless steel mirror panel, surrounded by transparent glass, with a bright appearance that allows for a clear understanding of the internal object status. The adjustable layer board is designed to store objects of different sizes, and it can also be configured as an Energy-Saving Nitrogen gas Cabinet. It can also be customized according to different customer requirements.

Understanding Nitrogen Cabinets and Dehumidification Boxes

These drying storage cabinets for component storage are traditional anti-oxidation storage devices, while dehumidification boxes are anti-oxidation storage devices that have gradually become popular in recent years. What are the benefits of dehumidification boxes for anti-oxidation storage? What are the differences between anti-oxidation storage of dehumidification boxes and nitrogen cabinets?

A dehumidification box (also called a dehumidifying cabinet, drying cabinet, or low-humidity cabinet) or a nitrogen control cabinet both work as anti-oxidation storage devices. Nitrogen cabinets are traditional anti-oxidation storage devices, while dehumidification boxes have been mainly used for moisture-proof storage before and have been rarely used for anti-oxidation storage until recently.

The oxidation of objects mainly results from the reaction between oxygen in the air and metal materials. The anti-oxidation method used in nitrogen gas cabinets is to create an oxygen-free environment inside the cabinet to achieve the effect of anti-oxidation. In fact, in addition to oxygen reaction, the catalytic effect of moisture on the oxidation of objects is also very significant. Therefore, dehumidification boxes have gradually become widely used for anti-oxidation storage by creating a low-humidity environment for metal materials.

In terms of effectiveness, creating an oxygen-free environment in nitrogen cabinets is undoubtedly the best method to prevent oxidation. However, the operation of equipment cannot always achieve ideal status. Even with a nitrogen concentration of 90%, which is considered an ideal state, there may still be oxidation reactions. Similarly, the anti-oxidation storage in dehumidification boxes also requires good equipment performance. In order to achieve good anti-oxidation effect, dehumidification boxes need to have the function of quickly reaching a humidity level below 5%RH and the ability to quickly restore humidity within 5-10 minutes, which can achieve the same anti-oxidation effect as high-purity and high-flow nitrogen cabinets.
